Women and their partners who are thinking about pregnancy—and, of course, women who are already pregnant—should not travel to countries where Zika virus is a risk. But the rest of us? Let’s keep things in perspective. Mosquitoes have been carrying nasty diseases for centuries. And nearly every country has mosquitoes. If we were to stop traveling to places with disease-carrying mosquitoes, we’d have to stop seeing most of the world and build a bubble around our own backyards.
